STEREO-SESSIONS : MUSIQ SOULCHILD IN THE STUDIO

It was my first day back to the studio. Coming back from a month long hiatus, fresh off a new ACL knee repair. So here I am gimpin’ into the studio with my one good leg and one good crutch in hand.

But its all good! Musiq Soulchild is coming in to record with Stereotypes tonight! Im juiced, and they are too, because we got another SMASH song to deliver!

Its 5:15 PM and his driver has just pulled into the studio, along with DOPE singer/songwriter August Rigo, who wrote the track.

Damn I can sure use me a limo driver, right about now…..

1:30 AM: Musiq’s stylist makes a stop by the studio to drop off his fit for the Grammy’s. He’s up for 3 nominations this year, congratulations!

Seafood Fettuchini from Little Toni’s, 5 hours old. It WAS good earlier……

4:00 AM, RayRo trying to fight the power!!

Jon Street, “I heard it only takes him about 2 hours to cut vocals…” WRONG!

He is a perfectionist, he takes his time to make sure his work sounds the very best. I can definitely appreciate that and i’m sure you will too.

4:40 AM: Taking a final listen…. SOUNDS AMAZING!

5:15 AM: SMASHH!!! Finally time to go home and get some sleep. 14 hours locked up in the studio, but WELL worth it!
