As many of you have already heard, there was a devastating 7.0 earthquake in Haiti yesterday, which collapsed many buildings and caused an unknown number of fatalities (believed to be in the thousands). The earthquake occurred in Port-au-Prince, which has a dense population of 1.8 million people who are being affected by the destruction.
There are many ways to donate to relief efforts, including easy text donations that only take a second of your time
Text/ phone options:
1) Wyclef Jean’s foundation, Yele Haiti. Text “Yele” to 501501 and $5 will be charged to your phone bill and given to relief projects through the organization.
2) American Red Cross. Text “Haiti” to 90999 to donate $10 to the American Red Cross relief efforts.
