Recently we were in working with the Legendary Steve Russell for a songwriting session.  Now For those of you who don’t know who he is, he was the lead singer to the R&B group Troop who spawned such hits as “Spread My Wings”, “All I Do is Think of You” and “Sweet November“.  Me being a huge fan of theirs growing up, it was an honor for me to get to work with him especially after seeing him perform at the MC Hammer tour back in the day.  Some of you may be too young and may not even know who Troop was, which is understandable, but if so I would study up on them and learn about some great music.

I can’t wait to see who our song lands on that we did with him.  There will be many more sessions to come with him.  Also on a sidenote, he is a pretty good ping pong player so I’ll be sure to get him on a Stereotypes TV episode of me whoopin his ass…hahaha jk…..
